Self-guided visit to Medieval BergamoOur driver will meet you in Milan and take you to discover Medieval Bergamo, whose original nucleus has its roots in an ancient Celtic settlement. Today's architecture mostly recalls the Roman period (in 49 B.C. Julius Caesar gave the city the title of Municipality) and the Venetian period (16th century), during which Bergamo became part of the Serenissima Republic of Venice. It was Venice itself that oversaw the construction of some of its most important public buildings and its imposing walls, which are still an icon of the city today and which have earned it the prestigious recognition of World Heritage by UNESCO.
The tour will continue with a fine lunch in a traditional restaurant in Franciacorta. After lunch, you will discover the excellence of the territory through a guided tour of one of the most renowned wineries in Franciacorta, which has contributed to build its history and to make Franciacorta famous in the world. The visit will end with a tasting of two Franciacorta DOCG wines.
At the end of the excursion, our driver will welcome you back in the comfort of our minivan to take you back to Milan.
